step into the story

Close-up of a sleek, black, closed safety razor blade with a metallic finish, isolated on a black background.

Across the world, stories of faith, struggle, and redemption are unfolding in places most people will never see. Blacklight invites photographers, filmmakers, writers, and storytellers to step onto the frontlines and document what God is doing among the nations.

Are you exploring how your creative gifts intersect with the Kingdom? There’s a place for you here.

FIND YOUR PATHWAY

Every storyteller’s journey begins somewhere. Whether you're just exploring how your gifts might serve the kingdom or you're ready for immersive field reporting, Blacklight offers a pathway forward.

  • The Blacklight Summit is an annual gathering where kingdom creatives come together to connect, learn from experienced storytellers, and explore how visual media and journalism can serve the mission of God.

If you’re curious about how storytelling intersects with the global church, Summit is the perfect place to begin.

  • Blacklight Expeditions are short-term international trips designed to introduce participants to cross-cultural storytelling and mission field reporting.

Over the course of 10–12 days, participants learn how to document the spiritual landscape of a place through photography, video, and written storytelling while engaging real ministry contexts overseas.

  • Frontlines placements are immersive storytelling assignments lasting one to three months.

Teams of four creatives — photographer, videographer, journalist, and content creator — are placed in strategic locations around the world to study the spiritual landscape, document the work of gospel workers, and report on the battlefronts of belief.
